National News: In the last 24 hours, Punjab’s health camps treated 13,318 people across 1,035 camps. Patients included 1,423 with fever, 303 with diarrhoea, 1,781 with skin problems, 811 with eye issues, and many others with different illnesses. The government’s quick action shows that the health system is ready to handle fast-spreading diseases. These camps not only provided treatment but also helped in tracking and managing illnesses effectively.
Regarding damaged homes and displaced people, ASHA workers visited 1,079 villages and provided relief materials, shelter, and essential help to 46,243 families. Special health kits were also given to 12,524 families to support their daily needs. Immediate treatment was given to 863 fever patients, helping to prevent major disease outbreaks.
In terms of rebuilding, the government acted quickly. Cleaning work was done in 1,363 villages, 49,806 homes were sanitized, and debris from 624 houses was removed immediately. Repairs and cleaning were completed in 15,368 homes. With proper cleaning of drains, roads, water removal, and waste management, post-flood infections and bad odors were largely controlled. In 834 villages, activities like fogging and disinfection were carried out to fight diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. People actively supported the relief campaign, showing strong social unity.
Punjab government teams, along with local administration and medical staff, ran awareness campaigns, distributed medicines, conducted sanitation drives, and offered emergency medical care in flood-hit areas. Relief work was organised quickly across the state, keeping pace with changing conditions. Every step was digitally tracked, ensuring transparency. From health monitoring to fast relief delivery, the government proved that people’s safety and health remain the top priority, even in difficult situations. These efforts have sped up Punjab’s return to normal life. The government has been widely praised for reaching every citizen, controlling diseases, and maintaining transparency in rehabilitation. Punjab’s policies and the effective work of ground-level teams have become a model for the country. Even during severe disasters like floods, “alert administration and strong Punjab” is more than a slogan it is a reality.
